Mrs. Mattie Parsons Died

Mrs. Mattie Parsons, died Thursday afternoon at the age of 34 years at the residence of the family, five miles southwest of Roswell. The cause of her death was the dread disease, tuberculosis.

Mrs. Parsons had been brought here a little over a years ago, by her husband, Prof. C. N. Parsons, from Alva, Oklahoma. Funeral services were conducted at seven o'clock this morning at the Dilley Undertaking parlors by Rev. Murray, of the First M. E. Church, of which Mrs. Parsons was a member. The church choir conducted the singing.

The remains were taken north this morning to Alva accompanied by the husband. Interment will be made at Alva.
