marriage to Lawrence Peal. At the time of Lawrence's death in 2014,
the couple had been married for 32 beautiful years.
You could often find Debra enjoying her
garden, crocheting or quilting. She loved listening to live music and
taking camping trips, but most of all the loved spending time with
her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Whitestone
Mennonite Church in Hesston.
Debra was a sweet, compassionate and
giving soul. She was a natural-born caregiver and would meet people
right where they were (regardless of their situation or who they
were) and help them get to where they needed to be.
Debra is survived by her sons, Justin
Peal and wife Mary Hand, and Jackson Faries; siblings, Gary
Barnthouse, Tammy Phares and Kim Spengler; grandchildren, April Rayne
Ethridge, Sebastian Riley, Tyr Ray and Mystic Faries, Justin George,

cousins, Becky Lowery and Michael Ethridge; and many nieces, nephews,
great-nieces, great-nephews and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Larry Peal; son, Jim Etheridge; and parents, Ruby Emerson
and Jack Malek.
A caretaker until the very end, Debra's
wishes were to be an organ donor. Through her gift, she will save the
sight of two people. She also was a skin donor for diabetes research,
where her generous gift will help countless others in the future. Cremation has taken place. A private
family gathering will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions in Debra?s
name may be made to the Diabetes Foundation Inc., 411 Hackensack
