Lynn Edward Anduss

Lynn Edward Anduss passed away on September 17, 2021, in Fort Collins, Colorado at the age of 88. He was born on September 15, 1933, in Newton, Kansas to Edward and Marie (Elliott) Anduss.

Sally Louise (Byler) Anduss passed away on April 13, 2022, in Fort Collins, Colorado at the age of 89. She was born on January 13, 1933, in Newton, Kansas to Reuben and Dorothy (Dart) Byler.

High school sweethearts, Lynn and Sally, were raised in Newton and were proud graduates of the Newton High School class of 1951. On August 30, 1952, they were married in the former Evangelical United Brethren Church. Their love for each other spanned more than 69 years.

Lynn and Sally spent five years in Manhattan, where Lynn attended Kansas State University, earning a bachelor of architecture degree. After serving on assignment in the U.S. Army, they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado in 1960, where Lynn worked in facilities management at Colorado State University. He retired in 1991 and began his own consulting business. He also retired from the U.S. Army Reserve in 1991 as a colonel. After their children were in school, Sally attended and graduated from the Aims/Poudre R-1 School of Practical Nursing in 1972. She was employed at the Fort Collins Women?s Clinic for 23 years.

They were charter members of Christ United Methodist Church, in Fort Collins, and remained active until they were no longer able to. Lynn designed the current church building and subsequent addition. The church played an important role in their lives and they served it well in many capacities throughout the years.

You rarely found one without the other. They were a complementary team in all their endeavors and enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, genealogy, sports, serving in their community, and volunteering at the Colorado Welcome Center. Friendships they made along their life journey continued with them throughout their lives. They were very courageous in their respective struggles with Alzheimer?s disease.

Family was of upmost importance to Lynn and Sally. They were devoted parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents providing a happy home and solid upbringing. They delighted in spending time with their immediate and extended family and that was especially meaningful to them.

Lynn and Sally are survived by their children: Kristin Miller and husband Mark of Longmont, Colorado; Susan Wells and husband Kent of Westminster, Colorado; Murray Anduss and wife Reenie of Windsor, Colorado. They are also survived by their grandchildren: Kyle Miller of Longmont, Colorado; Kathryn Bleeker and husband Derrick of Firestone, Colorado; Drew Wells and wife Hannah of Thornton, Colorado; Brent Wells and fianc?e Noelle Jones of Denver, Colorado; Spencer Anduss and husband Anthony Dominick of Wilmington, North Carolina; Brynn Anduss of Windsor, Colorado; great-granddaughters: Paisley Anduss, Kinsley Wells, Charlee Bleeker; and, many other beloved relatives, including Lynn?s brother, Reign Anduss, of Marion, Kansas.

An infant daughter, Jill Anduss, and infant grandson, Taylor Anduss, as well as their parents, siblings, and numerous relatives were awaiting them in heaven.

Interment of their ashes will take place during an informal graveside service on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Eastlawn Cemetery, 5920 N. West Road, Newton, Kansas. A light lunch will be served, at noon, in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church, 801 North Main Street, in Newton.
