Robert ?Bob? Wayne Brainard,
long-time Paris resident, passed away December 27, 2022, in Dallas,
Texas. He was born September 23, 1943, in Newton, Kansas to Roy and
Lena Brainard. He graduated from Newton High School. On January 15,
1966, he married Joyce Christians in Newton. They moved to Paris and
were blessed with a daughter, BobiJo.
Bob owned Big B Auction and managed
Gene?s Flea Market for over 40 years until his retirement. He was
an active member and board member of New Life Church of the Nazarene
in Blossom. He also was a member of the Red River Honkers antique car
club.
Bob will be remembered as a man of few
words that loved his family and friends. He had a big heart and
always was willing to help others in need. A wonderful husband,
father, grandfather, and friend, he will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years,
Joyce Brainard; daughter, BobiJo Stufflebeam (Byron); grandsons,
Gabriel, Paxton and Caden; sisters, Beverly Willems, Susie Ashcraft
(Jr.), and Ellen Schneider; brother, Roy Brainard (Norma);
sister-in-law, Marla McCleskey (Daniel); and a host of other
relatives and friends.
