HALSTEAD?Kathy J. Considine, 70, died Monday, March 24, 2025, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita.
She was born March 9, 1955, at Newton, to Bernard E. ?Bud? and Wanda Maxine (Robertson) Stone.
She graduated from Burrton High School and attended Brown Mackie College, Salina. After her time at Brown Mackie, she worked as a medical transcriptionist for the Hertzler Clinic for 28
years. She made a change and became the librarian for Burrton Schools, spending 10 years there, before her retirement.
She was a member of and keyboardist for Bethany Baptist Church, Bentley. She played the organ and piano for multiple churches for 55 years.
She also accompanied her grandchildren and other students for league and state music competitions.
In her spare time, she enjoyed solving puzzles, but she took the greatest pleasure attending and cheering for her grandchildren at their various activities.
On July 6, 1974, she married Philip J. Considine at Burrton. He survives at the home.
Other survivors include her son, Chad (Joni) Considine, Halstead; daughter, Brooke (Adam) Pickerill, Newton; brother, Gregg Stone, Inman; sister, Lynn (Jerry) Moulton, Hutchinson; and grandchildren,
Callie, Carson, Clayton and Carolina Considine, Halstead, and Cooper and Brynn Pickerill, Newton.
She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Considine, and a sister, Sandra Stone.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m., and visitation with the family present will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
The funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, at Bethany Baptist Church, Bentley.
Interment will follow at Burrton Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Bethany Baptist Church or Victory Village Christian Academy in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
