Dean Leo Janzen

Dean Leo Janzen, 80, of Hesston, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2025 at his home. He was born on January 18, 1945 in Windom, Minnesota, and was the son of Rudy H. and Marie Ruth (Quiring) Janzen.

He accepted the Lord as his Savior at a very young age and was baptized on June 5, 1960 by Minister A.H. Schultz in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. We know that he is Home safely in the arms of his Savior.

He attended college in Nebraska, where he received his welding degree.

Following college, he worked for Balzer Manufacturing in Mountain Lake, Minnesota as a welder. He later welded for Hesston Corporation in Hesston, Kansas for many years.

He attended Central Christian Church in Wichita.

Dean was known as helpful and generous and often donated his time helping others. He kept his lawn immaculate, enjoyed lawncare and would often mow lawns for others. He enjoyed riding his bike around town. Dean enjoyed working and was a hard worker. He loved listening to family talk radio and 500 club.

Dean is survived by his sister, Fern (Chet) Babcock of Greenwood, NE; brothers, Darrell ?Frank? (Barb) Janzen of Littleton, CO, and Bill Eitzen of Boulder, CO; four nieces, Deb (Wade) Johnson, Candy (Scott) Springer, Audrey Heath, and Brenda (Nathan) Goshert; many great nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation is planned with private family burial to take place in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan?s Purse in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 32, Hesston, KS 67062.
