Elnora Alida (Jenkins) Welty

Elnora A. Welty, 93, homemaker, passed away Sunday (April 5, 2009) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1916, to Owen and Clara (Berger) Jenkins. They preceded her in death.

She married Quenton Welty on Sept. 17, 1939. He preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1977.

Survivors include son, Ivan (and Janet) Welty of Hesston; daughter-in-law, Bettie Welty of Wellington; sister, Lucille (Jenkins) Lower of Cherokee, Okla.; grandchildren, Ramona (and Syed Tanveer) Ashraf, Katrina (and Andy) Moffitt, Bonnie Welty, Michael (and Heather) Welty, and Ronald (and Valerie) Welty; and great-grandchildren, Umar Ashraf and Hanif Ashraf, Andrew and Evan Moffitt, Trista and Tyler Welty, and Kevin and Heather Satterfield.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home in Hesston.

Burial will be at Hesston Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas in care of the funeral home.
