Harvey County is one of the smallest counties in Kansas, historically populated by hard-working, friendly, community-minded families always ready to lend a helping hand. For such a small, rural county it is surprising that any murders have ever affected our residents. Tragically, they have. The destruction of lives caused by the ungodly desires of wicked people has taken a toll not only on their own lives but also on the lives of their victims, the families, and the community as a whole.
Most of Harvey County’s murders have been fueled by alcohol and drugs and are motivated by domestic violence, anger & quarrels, lover’s triangles, and robberies. While we would prefer to focus on the victims rather than the aggressors, information on the victims is necessarily scarce by comparison.
