Liquor In Harvey County, Kansas

Demon Rum flowed freely in early Havey County, and years later Prohibition was the rule in both the county and the State.  Alcohol-fueled incidents consumed the courts and destroyed countless lives here before and after Prohibition.  However, even during Prohibition many were those fined for sneaking a nip or two and for showing the proofs of their intoxications.  Even since those days, liquor has played a part in many fights and deaths in Harvey County which, together with the use of other drugs, continue to plague Harvey County to this day.

This page is dedicated to the memory of those whose lives were effected by liquor use in Harvey County.
