Burrton Man Crash Victim

A young Burrton man, injured in a car-truck collision near here Wednesday, died at 10:40 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.  Ronald Keith Wood, 20, was driver of a truck which smashed head-on into a car at the curve of US50-S, 4 miles east of Hutchinson.  Driver of the car, Albertine Hanna, and Samuel H. Self, her passenger, both of Wichita, suffered minor injuries.  Wood received a skull fracture.  No charges have been filed according to Reno County Sheriff Vic Frazey.  Wood was manager of Dudte Implement Co.  He was to have been married next month to Barbara Scott, also of Burrton.  Born in Burrton Sept. 10, 1934, he was graduated from Burrton High School in 1953, and attended Hutchinson Junior College last year.  He had been active in Boy Scout work, and was assistant Scoutmaster of the Burrton troop.  Survivors are his mother, Mrs. LaDeen Wilkerson, Wichita; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Wood, Burrton, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bridgeman, 600 North Hendricks in Hutchinson.  Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Burrton Methodist Church, with Rev.
